Pilot Overview
As stated by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program, the REDI pilot is designed to address specific regional immigration needs across Ontario. It allocates 200 nominations from the OINP’s Employer Job Offer streams for each participating community. This initiative aims to support economic development in designated regions by facilitating the immigration of skilled individuals.
Pathway to Permanent Residence
This pilot offers a pathway to permanent residence for skilled workers. It targets individuals whose skills are in demand within the participating regional communities, thereby contributing directly to local economies and labor markets. The nominations are drawn from existing Employer Job Offer streams under the OINP.
Implementation Details
The REDI pilot began accepting applications on January 2, 2025. It is set to run for a duration of one year. The program was announced as part of the 2025 Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program updates on the official Ontario government website.
Community Engagement
