The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) utilizes tech draws to address labor needs within the technology sector.

Program Adjustments

Regulatory amendments related to OINP tech draws became effective on May 30. These amendments are part of Ontario's strategy to attract skilled technology workers.

Human Capital Priorities Stream

An opportunity has been introduced for skilled tech workers to apply under the Human Capital Priorities Stream. This stream allows the OINP to nominate individuals from the Express Entry pool who meet specific criteria for in-demand occupations.

Targeted Occupations

The OINP specifies a list of National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes that are targeted for these tech draws. Candidates whose occupations fall within these codes and who meet other program requirements may be eligible for consideration.

Application Process

Candidates in the Express Entry pool who meet the OINP's criteria may receive a Notification of Interest (NOI). Receipt of an NOI allows these candidates to apply to the OINP for provincial nomination. Further details are available on the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program website.
