The Manitoba government has announced an investment of over $330,000 to support cultural infrastructure projects in Francophone communities throughout the province.
This funding, provided through the Building Sustainable Communities program, aims to enhance cultural spaces and promote the vitality of Manitoba's Francophone heritage. The initiative supports various projects that contribute to community development and cultural preservation.
Specifically, the funding will be allocated to several organizations and projects. For example, the Foyer Valade Inc. is set to receive $38,000 for the renovation of its performance hall. Similarly, the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain (CCFM) will receive $50,000 for the renovation of its music practice rooms. Other beneficiaries include the Musée de Saint-Boniface, which will receive $10,000 for electrical upgrades, and the Conseil de développement économique des municipalités bilingues du Manitoba (CDEM), which will receive $25,000 for renovations to its office and community space.
These investments are part of a broader provincial effort to strengthen community infrastructure and support cultural expression.
