Eligibility tells you whether a program is open to you. Readiness tells you whether you could actually submit today. The CAN-MIGRATE Immigration Readiness Score™ rates your file from 0 to 100 across four dimensions — profile completeness, document evidence, eligibility strength and timing risk — and identifies the single action that raises the score most. It is the operational companion to the AI immigration assessment: where the assessment answers which route to take, the readiness score answers what to do this week. The score is recalculated every time you add a document, update a test result or change your status, so progress toward submission is visible rather than assumed.
The four dimensions
The score is a weighted composite. Each dimension is reported separately, because a file can be strong on paper and still be unsubmittable.
Profile completeness — how many decision-relevant fields are populated and verified
Document evidence — which required documents exist, which are expired and which have never been requested
Eligibility strength — how far above the threshold you sit on your recommended route
Timing risk — status expiry, test validity windows, draw cadence and processing horizons
Why timing is scored separately
Timing is the dimension applicants underestimate most. Language test results expire. Educational credential assessments expire. Police certificates expire. A post-graduation work permit ends on a fixed date, and the options available the day before that date differ sharply from those available the day after.
Scoring timing on its own axis means a file that is otherwise excellent still shows red when a deadline is about to eliminate the recommended route — which is precisely when an applicant needs to see it.
The highest-impact next action
A list of twenty outstanding items produces paralysis. The readiness engine ranks outstanding items by the number of score points each would unlock and by how long it takes to complete, and presents one recommended next action.
Complete it and the score updates immediately, revealing the next constraint. That loop turns an intimidating process into a sequence of individually manageable steps.
Documents: the difference between having and proving
Most applicants overestimate their document position because they conflate facts they know with evidence they hold. You know you worked three years at an employer; the application requires a reference letter on company letterhead stating job title, dates, hours per week, salary and duties matching your claimed NOC code.
The readiness score counts only evidence that exists in your vault in an acceptable form, and flags documents that exist but are expired, unsigned, untranslated or in a format that will be rejected.
How readiness connects to the rest of the platform
The score reads from the same Living Immigration Record™ as your eligibility results, CRS estimate and provincial matches, and it writes into your Personal Immigration Report™ as the execution section of the plan.
When a licensed RCIC reviews your file, the readiness breakdown is what they see first — it shows immediately whether the case is a submission review or a preparation engagement.
What a good score looks like
A score above 85 generally indicates a file that a professional could review and submit within days. Between 60 and 85, the substance is usually present but the evidence is incomplete. Below 60, the constraint is typically structural — a missing language result, an unassessed credential, or an eligibility gap that has to close before documents matter at all.
The score is a planning instrument, not a prediction of approval. A perfect readiness score means your file is complete, not that a decision will be favourable.
